Some important facts about how Emergency Services are provided in the Town of Evans – and how you can join our team:
 | Volunteers provide the Emergency Medical Services and Fire Protection in our community. |
| Volunteer Fire Companies are part of a fire district, a fire protection district, or a municipal department – each of which has its own means of income, administrative structure and mode of operations. |
| All fire companies offer complete fire, rescue and fire prevention services. Most also offer Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with an ambulance. |
| Some fire companies offer limited forms of membership such as EMS Only, Fire Police Only, Fire Fighting Only or Corporate Membership – while others require that you participate in all emergency services. |
| Some fire companies offer a Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP) which rewards members for years of service. |
| Most fire companies offer an Explorer Post for youths age 14-18 and/or a mens/ladies auxiliary. |
| All Fire Companies Need Additional Volunteers. |
