Evans Center Vols tackle
another car fire on the NYS T-Way
Mid-Town --- February 23, 2001 – For the
fourth time in a week, Evans Center Volunteers were called to fight a car fire,
this the third on the New York State Thruway.
Firefighters were dispatched at 8pm to the 444.1 milepost marker in the
eastbound lane of the I-90. Fourteen personnel manning three engines responded.
Engines 1 and 3 went to the scene while Engine 2 stood by at Station 2. Everyone
was back in service by 9:15pm.
