T-Bone Collision Sends 5
to Area Hospitals

Mid-Town - March 10, 2001 – A vehicle traveling south on Delameter Road apparently failed to yield at the stop sign located at the intersection with Eden-Evans Center Road. The vehicle first struck a vehicle headed east on Eden-Evans Center and then hit a second car stopped at the opposite corner on Delameter Road.

Ambulances from Evans Center, Rural/Metro and Lake Erie Beach transported  four patients to Erie County Medical Center and Lake Shore Hospital. A Mercy Flight Helicopter landed at the Angola Airport and transported the driver of the striking vehicle to ECMC. The male patient had to be extricated from his vehicle by Evans Center Volunteers.

Evans Center was assisted at the scene by the Eden Fire Department, Evans Police Department and Angola Fire Control Dispatch.
