Car stolen, set ablaze

MidTown – Town of Evans NY – December 22, 2004 --- Evans Center Firefighters responded to a working car fire on Town Line Road around 7pm this evening.

The four-door sedan was fully involved when fire units arrived and the vehicle was determined to be a total loss. Teams from Evans Center's Engine 3 and Engine 1 worked together to douse the flames.

The vehicle was believed to be stolen and abandoned on this section of deserted road that runs between Eden-Evans Center Road and Sturgeon Point Road along the border between the Towns of Evans and Eden.

The fire and suspected theft is under investigation by the Town of Eden Police.
