Gowans Road Fire Station#2

Station#2 was built in 1976 to serve the primarily undeveloped section of our response district east of Rte. 20. It's location also provides a second means of equipment response should apparatus responding from Station #1 be delayed by a train at either the Eden-Evans Center Road or Gowans Road crossings. Located between Rte. 20 and the NYS Thruway, apparatus can quickly respond to emergencies on Interstate 90 via the entrances at the east or westbound service areas.

Built as a concrete structure with a brick facade on the the front, Station#2 is currently home to Engine 2 - dubbed the "I-90 Express" for the station's proximity to the NYS Thruway. The two-bay station includes a storage area, restroom and a picnic area outside for our members.

We encourage you to stop by and visit any time.
